In this news, we would like to tell you why we do not recommend you to play on the Chico Poker Network. This network includes the following poker rooms:

  • BetOnline
  • Sportsbetting
  • Tigergaming

Quite recently, some players in this network began to receive emails with warnings and threats with the following content:

"Good day,
This is Cooper from Poker Security, I hope this email finds you well.
We are hereby requesting that you remove any prohibited software like Simple Post Flop (PokerBots, Solvers) from your device before accessing our software again. The use of Virtual machine software is also prohibited, so we would greatly appreciate if you refrain from using the VM ware when playing. Failure to adhere to our request, will result in your poker account being locked. Once locked your funds may confiscated, so we urge you to please comply with our request.
Please also note that no further payouts will be processed when any of these prohibited programs are detected.
Please do contact us again as soon as you have removed this software from your device, so that we may update the status of your account.
Your understanding is greatly appreciated."

They receive such letters even they have never had Simple Postflop launched during opened poker room client.

In our opinion, these letters are completely absurd for a number of reasons:

  1. In our opinion representatives of poker rooms have no right to dictate which programs can be installed on a user's PC. Some players can take advantage of using browser-based applications and charts in the images format, does this mean that the user must remove all browsers from his computer and programs for viewing images?
  2. We are always open to dialogue with poker rooms. For example, we communicate fairly closely with PokerStars and fulfill their requirements, so that players cannot get adavance during the game. Just think about it, our programs are inluded in the list of "Permitted tools and services" on the PokerStars website, so there will be no problems if you have Simple Postflop opened simultaneously with the running PokerStars, while the Chico Network basically requires you to remove them from your computer and does not allow them to be used even when the room is off.
  3. Our programs are the most protected in terms of the possibility of using them to create bots and use them in the game in real time, in order to gain an advantage. Our programs do not have an open API; files with solutions are stored in protected format. We implement all the functionality that the user may require through the GUI so that there are fewer opportunities to use our programs for creating bots, while alternative programs provide access to files with solutions and have open APIs, which simplifies the creation of poker bots, but does not provide any advantages from the point of the average user. If poker ecology is important to you, then our programs will be the right choice.

Regarding these letters, we requested that users ask the rooms to contact us - no one has ever tried to contact us. We also attempted to contact the rooms of this network by e-mail at the following addresses:

  • poker@BetOnline.ag
  • pokersecurity@betonline.ag
  • cs@betonline.ag
  • cs@sportsbetting.ag
  • poker@sportsbetting.ag
  • support@tigergaming.com
  • pokersecurity@tigergaming.com

We did not receive a single response from any of these mails, which indicates the quality of the service of these rooms. It means that you, as poker players, playing in these rooms, you can repeatedly try to contact on important issues, but you will not receive any answer.

Also, the most amusing fact is that, according to player feedback, the most bots are played on this network and no one fights with them, people write complaints, but the situation does not change. Hovewer Chico Network struggle with legitimate programs that are quite difficult to use in real-time to gain an advantage, also they require to remove the programs from the PC, which users do not use during the game.

An important fact, according to information that periodically pops up on forums, is that users and bots that use software that gives advantages can have it running on a separate PC, not on the one on which the game is played - that's what it is worth fighting with.

After the user uninstalled Simple Postflop from his computer, he received an email with the following content:

"We hope this email finds you well.
In deed we appreciate the fact that you don't use prohibited software while playing, and we thank you for that.
However, I need to explain that our security system might track any prohibited software that is installed in your computer once you launch your account (even if you don't play). This means, that it could be detected again and our security team will need to review this flag (which could lead to temporarily block your account during the investigation).
We appreciate all your support, understanding and cooperation."

Draw your own conclusions.

Summarize:

  • Poker rooms "BetOnline", "Sportsbetting", "Tigergaming" put forward absurd requirements for players to remove programs from the PC that are not used simultaneously with the launched poker client and do not affect the gameplay
  • Poker rooms "BetOnline", "Sportsbetting", "Tigergaming" threaten not to pay money in case of failure to fulfill their absurd requirements
  • Poker rooms "BetOnline", "Sportsbetting", "Tigergaming" do not in any way try to find solutions to problems, do not try to get in touch, and ultimately make unilateral decisions regarding the most decent and secure programs, while as far as we know, there are no prohibitions on other programs that can really be used in poker bots
  • The level of service at the poker rooms "BetOnline", "Sportsbetting", "Tigergaming" is terrifying, not a single response has been received to many letters
