Our partner PreflopHero publishes unique content - Asymmetrical 3-max pack for spin&go!

This pack was developed by the coach and spin&go player "Tema2010". It features charts for 3-max with asymmetric stacks.

Today, many people know the strategy of playing with equal effective stacks in 3-max, but if one of the players has a very short stack at the table, it is easy to make a mistake and lose value by playing the usual strategy (for example BTN 20bb, SB 20bb, BB 5bb). With Asymmetrical 3-max pack, you will be able to understand what changes will occur when one of the players' stack decreases and how the strategy of other players at the table will change.

As an example, we will compare the 20bb strategy with same effective stacks with a strategy where the big blind has 5bb left.

Strategy with equal 20bb stacks

  • All-in - green
  • Raise - blue
  • Call - yellow
  • Fold - gray

BTN

SB vs BTN min raise

BB vs BTN min raise + SB fold

Strategy with stacks BU=20bb, SB=20bb, BB=5bb

BTN

SB vs BTN min raise

BB vs BTN min raise + SB fold

In this situation, some players start to open more tightly from BTN for fear of short stack on BB, but in reality our equity will allow us to call his all-in with any hand in the standard open range.

For the BB, the strategy changes so that with a short stack, he can defend a much wider range of hands because the opponent will not be able to bluff 3 streets on the postflop into it, and most often the action will end on the flop or turn, which will allow us to see 1 or 2 free streets for small investments and require less equity to defend postflop than with a deep stack.

In total, the pack contains 9 main situations in 3-max, where the influence of asymmetric stacks is manifested:

  • BTN
  • SB vs BTN mr
  • SB vs BTN os
  • BB vs BTN mr
  • BB vs BTN os
  • BB vs mr + call
  • BB vs mr + all-in
  • BB vs os + call
  • BB vs os + all-in

Also prepared charts for all combinations of stacks multiples of 5. For this, a new pack structure has been implemented, in each situation the charts are divided into groups according to the Hero stack (5, 10, 15, 20, 25 bb)

And within each group, all possible combinations of stacks are included (a total of 34 options for one situation)

Asymmetrical 3-max training also has its own characteristics. It does not take into account the effective stack, but it is possible to specify a specific Hero stack size

The cost of the Asymmetrical 3-max pack is 39$ for 1 year
